The Trap: A Story to Help Protect Families from Pornography

The Trap: A Story to Help Protect Families from Pornography

If children are old enough to know how to turn on the computer, it’s not too early to teach them about the dangers of pornography. This illustrated book, for families with children ages 7-9, is a valuable resource to help parents teach their young children about the destructive nature of pornography, the sacredness of our bodies, and the love the Lord has for His children.

This book really takes some sensitive subject matter and makes it easy for children to understand in a way that is appropriate. I am SO glad I bought this book, and would recommend it to ANYONE.

I am so happy to find something to help parents discuss the problem of pornography with their young children! This book is very tastefully written, and simple enough for young children to understand. I noticed many parts of the story that parents could expound on as children are older and ready for more information. I appreciated the way the story helped children to see how they could begin a discussion on the subject with their parents, as well as helped parents understand how to respond to their children and start conversations with them about pornography. I have been looking for something that might help arm young children with information that would help them avoid the devastating effects of pornography addiction for a long time. Most material I have seen has been targeted to older audiences, leaving our children unarmed until after many of them have already been exposed to and/or addicted to pornography. I also loved the quotes at the end of the book that could help start discussion with older children or teenagers. Finally a fence at the top of the cliff, instead of an ambulance at the bottom!

THis is really an incredible book. I was happy with how fast it came, the moral of the story is fantastic and really explains this problem on a level for children. I would recommend this book to anyone with young children who are unsure how to address the issure of pornography.
